Archiving an Address Book Object

Even though there is no way to permanently delete address book items, it is possible to either archive individual address book objects or merge multiple address book objects into one.

Archiving an Address Book Object

  1. Navigate to the address book item you would like to archive. The easiest way is to search for the item using the universal search.

  1. Click [ archive ].

  1. That option will then read [ un-archive ]

  1. Archived address book items do not appear in the address book or when using the universal search.

Merging Address Book Objects

  1. Navigate to the address book item you would like to archive. The easiest way is to search for the item using the universal search.

  1. Click the bin icon to add the address book item to the address book bin.

  1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other address book items you would like to merge together.

  1. Once all of the address book items you wish to merge have been added to the bin, hover over Address Book and click Bin.

  1. Click the green arrow next to any of the information you would like to keep attached to the composite address book item. Clicking the green arrow next to Make master will swap that address book item to the master position. You can also manually add/edit any information in the master position.

  1. Once all of the needed information is in the master position, click Merge.

  1. Click OK.

  1. All of the address book items previously added to the bin will now be a single address book item.
